General Description
Signaling systems are fundamental to the safe and efficient running of railway operations. The systems are used to signal the permitted running speed to the train operator. Our in-pavement, recessed fixtures provide signaling without obstructing the flow of pedestrians and vehicle traffic in urban environments.
Three in-pavement fixtures are available:
- TS-RAIL-4: Anodized aluminum body.
- TS-RAIL-5: Stainless steel body.
- TS-RAIL-6: Fully-flush, anodized aluminum body.
Common Features
- Highbright LEDs are clearly visible in daytime and under the worst weather conditions.
- Long life LEDs (avg. rated life of 10 years) reduces frequency of replacement.
- High static load rating (44,000 lb.) reduces likelihood of damage from heavy vehicles.
- Bi-directional, self-cleaning lens design.
TS-RAIL-4 Features
- Corrosion resistant anodized aluminum body stands up to traffic wear and weather.
- Highbright 12 Volt LEDs consume only 3 watts/fixture.
- Pressurized light cavity keeps moisture out and reduces the frequency of replacement.
- Two color signaling: Each side of the fixture can display two different colors.

- Corrosion resistant stainless steel construction stands up to salt, chemicals, traffic wear and weather.
- Highbright 12 Volt LEDs consume only 4 watts/fixture.
- Pressurized light cavity keeps moisture out and reduces the frequency of replacement.
- Two color signaling: Each side of the fixture can display two different colors.
TS-RAIL-6 Features
- Fully flush profile avoids damage that may be caused by snowplows.
- Corrosion resistant anodized aluminum body stands up to traffic wear and weather.
- Highbright LEDs consume only 2.5 watts per cartridge (5 watts per fixture).
- Factory sealed optical cartridge design reduces field maintenance issues.
